Debian 8 auf USB-Stick oder SD-Karte

Projektleiter: Mijzelf / Ariek2, diverse

The FFP-stick is an USB stick (or an external USB disk) which uses the advantages offered by usb_key_func.sh to install and start FFP on a ZyXEL NAS.

I'm very happy with the unambiguous naming which is used for SoC's and their manufacturers. How could I else have guessed that a Comcerto 2000 is equal to a QorIQ LS1024A, and that Mindspeed is equal to Freescale is equal to NXP?

Anyway, the github page contains a dts file for the LS1021A, but not for the LS1024A, and I have no idea if these SoC's are actually related.

Oh, you're right. I'm searching for the wrong SoC

According to dimes, I should search for "Comcerto 2000 EVM"

Hi everyone,

I have searched for products with the MindSpeed Comcerto 2000 and found out that the SYNOLOGY DS414j (https://global.download.synology.com/do ... et_ger.pdf) and the WD MyCloud NAS (http://mybookworld.wikidot.com/forum/t- ... ifications) use this CPU.

Synology ist still developing the firmware for his DS414j (last firmware seems to be from 05-11-2019): https://www.synology.com/de-de/support/ ... j#firmware
But it seems that Synology is also using Linux Kernel 3.2 for this CPU: https://sourceforge.net/projects/dsgpl/ ... %203.2.40/

Someone have ported the Synology DSM to the WD MyCloud (maybe interesting to port it for ZyXEL NAS): https://community.wd.com/t/clean-os-deb ... ares/93714
There is also a port for custom NAS (I think only x86 based): https://nascompares.com/2018/09/27/xpen ... built-nas/

For the older NAS325v2, could we use the Kernel from ArchLinux (https://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv5/zyxel-nsa325) to install OpenMediaVault or port DSM from Synology?

Let's keep our beloved ZyXEL NAS alive! :)

Hello,
a new 5.5.x kernel which supports Zyxel fw4 devices is alredy available: https://forum.doozan.com/read.php?2,12096. You can also look in the Doozan forum if you can find some more information how to install Debian and Openmediavault. As you can see in the WdMycloud example it is not so easy to reach the same performance like with the original firmware.
