NAS540: Which Linux distribution?

Which Linux distribution is the NAS based on? I tried to figure out using dmesg, cat /etc/*-release, cat /proc/version, cat /etc/issue, uname -a etc. but did not see a hint. It only reports GNU/Linux.

AFAIK it's not based on any know distribution. It's a busybox based system garnished with some extra software (mainly apache, samba and python). The majority of the backend is written in python.
