Firnware/pakage question for NSA 320 with 4.7 firmware

Beitrag von Darkyputz »

Hello...

I had to redo my NSA320 due to need of more space (now holds 2 4tb in raid 1)and while i was checking for ssh and such i found out nas-central died in the menawhile and so i ended here...luckily...
Now i got ssh and such back up and running, but tripped over Mijzelf's repo which states entries for what i think are firmware versions...stating a 4.75 and a 4.80
Is ther such firmware update or do these folder names represent something else?
And while i am already typing...was there ever a way found to overclock these buggers to get some better smb speed?

Thx in advance!

jan

It are firmware versions, but they don't all exist for the 320. The point is, using the web_prefix the root of the package server is defined for the firmware package manager. The package manager itself adds /<NAS MODEL>/<FW VERSION>/zypkg/ to fetch ZYPKG_INFO.tgz, which describes MetaRepository.
I am far to lazy to create a directory for each model and firmware. So the NSA320 directory is actually a symlink to the NSA325 directory. (And so are NSA210, 221, 310, ...)

(And it's not clear to me why there are seperate 4.75 and 4.80 directories. ZyXEL did this to keep the packages apart, but AFAIK there is nothing in fw 4.75 or 4.80 which would render each others packages incompatible.
